Osprey Avenue Utilities and Roadway Improvements Project
Thank you for visiting our Utilities Department’s web site for Osprey Avenue Utilities and Roadway Improvements Project designed to:
- Improve water and sewer system reliability by replacing old, failing asbestos cement water and sewer main pipes; and
- Improve transportation levels of service by resurfacing Osprey Avenue and installing sidewalk ramps, pedestrian crosswalks and signals that improve pedestrian circulation and are ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliant.
This dedicated website, www.Osprey-Utility-Project.com provides an overview of the proposed project, construction schedule, frequently asked questions, alerts and so much more.
Throughout the construction of this project, we will periodically update this web site to inform you about our progress and important happenings, including alerts about changes in traffic patterns, detours and other activities. So, please visit the other pages in this website for more detailed information about the project and its progress. A link to this website is also posted on the City of Sarasota website www.SarasotaFL.gov and it can be found by clicking “Government”, “Utilities”, “Utility Construction Projects” and then the posted website homepage.
