The total contract time for the project is 18 months starting on June 1, 2020 and ending on or before November 30, 2021.

PROJECTED WORK ACTIVITY SCHEDULE – UPDATED ON 9/21/20

THE SCHEDULE BELOW IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE PENDING WEATHER CONDITIONS, ETC.  THE SCHEDULE WILL BE UPDATED AND REVISED ACCORDINGLY.

6/8/20 to 6/10/20 – Install 20-inch Tee and 20-inch Valve on Existing 20-inch Force Main between Brother Geenan and Novus.

Status: Complete

6/8/20 to 9/25/20 – Horizontal Directional Drill 30-inch HDPE Force Main (approx. 1,950 feet) from 4th Street to Gillespie Dog Park parking lot and Pressure Test.

Status:  30-inch HDPE pipe installation completed on 7/10/20.  Pressure testing to be completed by October 9, 2020.

6/10/20 to 9/30/20 – Install Force Main from Railroad to the WWTP and Pressure Test.

Status: Pipe installation is complete.  Contractor to test pipe and connect to existing pipe at WWTP by 9/25/20. 

7/13/20 to 10/9/20 – Horizontal Directional Drill 30-inch HDPE Force Main (approx. 3,400 feet) from Brother Geenan to 4th Street and Pressure Test.  During this period, Osprey Ave. will be closed to through traffic between Oak Street and Novus and from Fruitville Road to 5th Street, 4th Street will be closed to through traffic between Goodrich and Gillespie and Brother Geenan will be closed to through traffic between US301 and Osprey.  Access to all properties in these areas will be provided.

Status: Directional drilling commenced on July 15th.  The Drilling Contractor completed the pilot hole from Brother Geenan to 4th Street (approx. 3,400 ft.) on 8/20/20.  The contractor currently is reaming (enlarging the hole).  This process is expected to be complete by 10/6/20.  Once the reaming process is complete, the contractor will pull the new 30-inch pipe into place through the hole.  This is expected to occur between 10/7/20 and 10/9/20.  Until then, the contractor plans to work 6 days per week (Mon. thru Sat.) from 7AM to 7PM – excluding holidays.  The contractor will work around the clock when pulling in the new pipe.  We expect this to take about 36 (continuous) hours.

Once the new pipe is pulled into place, the contractor will test the pipe and then connect it to the existing force main pipe along Brother Geenan.

10/5/20 to 10/9/20 – Connect 30-inch HDPE force main to existing 24-inch Force Main piping at the Gillespie Dog Park parking lot.  During this period, the Dog Park parking lot will be closed, and 10th Street will be closed to through traffic between Gillespie and Goodrich for approximately 1 day.  Access to all properties in these areas will be provided.

Status: Contractor to connect to the new 30-inch HDPE FM at Gillespie Dog Park parking lot by 10/9/20.

10/12/20 to 10/23/20 – Connect 30-inch HDPE force main to 20-inch Valve Located between Brother Geenan & Novus.  During this period, Osprey will be closed to through traffic between Oak Street and Novus.  Brother Geenan will be closed to through traffic between US301 and Osprey. Access to all properties in these areas will be provided.

Status: Not Started

10/26/20 to 11/6/20 – Connect 30-inch HDPE Force Mains at 4th Street.  During this period, Osprey will be closed to through traffic between Fruitville and 5th, and 4th Street will be closed to through traffic between Goodrich and Gillespie.  Access to all properties in these areas will be provided.

Status: Not Started

10/26/20 to 11/6/20 – Horizontal Directional Drill 12-inch Water Main between Novus and Bay Street and Pressure Test.  Through traffic along Osprey north of Mound will be provided.  Traffic south of Mound along Osprey will be local traffic only.

Status: Not Started

11/9/20 to 12/18/20 – Install Water Mains between Bay Street and Novus.  Local traffic only will be provided.

Status: Not Started

1/4/20 to 3/31/21 – Slip-line Water Main between 4th Street and 10th Street.

Status: Not Started

4/1/21 to 7/31/21 – Slip-line Water Main between Brother Geenan and Fruitville.

Status: Not Started

8/1/21 to 10/31/21 – Mill and Overlay Road between Bay Street and 10th Street.
